Description: Results of the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Assessment Program in Primary Reading (AP-PR) describe changes in attainment of reading benchmarks in kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2. Recommendations: - Attainment of "stretch goals" for reading in kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2 would help to ensure that primary students are securely on the path to college readiness by the end of high school.
